OMG

Just received an email from the Breeder

the pups went for their health checks, 1st vaccinations and microchipping yesterday. I'm afraid I have bad news about Wee Girl. The vet discovered she has a heart murmur. The vet diagnosed it as "Aortic Stenosis." She was the only one to have a heart murmur.

She shows no outward signs that anything is wrong - she's active, playful and has a good appetite - she isn't even the smallest of the litter anymore. To say that I am sick over this is an understatement... I am so sorry to have to tell you this.

What I would like to offer you is, a different female puppy. I shouldn't have told you which puppy you would get before the health checks and I'm sorry for doing so. I haven't bred a litter in over 15 years and I am learning/re-learning as I go.

I am planning on taking Wee Girl to another vet clinic for a second opinion and see what the outcome of that is. I really don't want to place her in a home without knowing more about the murmur.

Does getting a different puppy sound okay with you? Please let me know what you think.

At this point I don't even know what to think. I'm just waiting for a bit more information from the Breeder.

I'm also reading some information online. Concidering I leave tomorrow to pick her up... I'm not sure what to think, do, feel at this point.

If I say I want a different dog then am I saying that a dog that's not purfect is disposable?? Because that's really not how I feel.

3 More Sleeps!

Wow, only 3 more sleeps until I have a puppy again. What a scary, exciting thought.

Sorry I've been lacks in writing, but with moving into the new house and trying to get the apartment all clean, it's been a bit crazy around here. I also had some trouble at work with my application but that's a whole other story (or a completely new blog)

Anyways, the exciting news now is that I have now offically recieved pictures of Skadi. Here is what the Breeder said about her.

as promised, pictures of your new fuzzy girl. :)

We call her Wee Girl. She was the smallest of the litter, but huge in heart. She's sweet and loves to give kisses. Curious and outgoing as well.

Her big brother Rocky thinks he can boss the other pups around and they will back down to him... but not Wee Girl. She lets him know that he can't get away with that kind of thing.

So here are some pictures for your viewing pleasure.
